Maureen Sanchez

Lead Graphic Designer

In her own words

I was always the designated artist in every association I’ve ever been in, whether voluntary (history club and drama club) or involuntary (family, detention). Everyone always looked to me if they needed something drawn or painted.

So at a very young age I realized that it’s the only thing in which I really excel. I failed in both the History and Drama clubs. I’m bad at remembering dates and places, and I certainly couldn’t act to save my life. I really only joined them for the extra credits. At home I was the only artist, so I was able to avoid doing household chores because I had to do everyone else’s homework and projects. That’s probably why I only learned to cook and do laundry after I got married.

I love my job because I feel very fortunate to wake up every day and do something new and creative. I just can’t imagine doing anything else. I live and breathe art and graphic design. I don’t even care about the long, sleepless nights I stay up trying to meet tight deadlines. As long as the finished product looks awesome, I’m happy. The greatest reward for me is when someone looks at my design and is inspired by it.

Coffee and rock music are my best friends. When my eyelids start closing against my will, these two lifesavers get me through the long hours until I finish my projects to my and my colleagues’ satisfaction.
