In his own words

Hey, this is Bala Krishna. Web development is my passion and has been since 1996, back when computers were run using DBASE, FoxPro and Windows 3.1. I love, eat, sleep, and drink programming.

I completed my diploma in computer science in 1996 at the Society for Electronics and Communication Centre, where my first computer was a Pentium 586.  I used to spend hours each day in front of the computer learning programming languages. In 2001 I completed my master’s degree in Computer Applications.

My professional career actually began at college, where I earned money tutoring other students in math.  After graduation I worked for a year at a financial institution, where I gained a lot of experience managing computer networks and institutional databases.
After spending years working in a non-technical organization, I found my dream job at a software development company. I learned search engine optimization and developed many products for overseas corporate clients.

In my spare time I love tinkering with my own computer and experimenting with new technologies. I also enjoy swimming, music, reading books, and writing. I’m obsessed with computers and technology, but I don’t define my life by them and prefer living a full, well–rounded life.

Bala Krishna is one of the lead web developers at The Marketing Zen Group and has been with the company since its inception. He specializes in PHP/MySQL and Open Source Platforms such as Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, Zencart, and Wordpress. He is dedicated to providing effective scalable solutions to clients using the latest technologies.

Krishna’s primary focus is on dynamic development with LAMP technologies. He also helps maintain client websites and develops modern web 2.0 applications, plugins, and web application enhancements.
